Increased Concerns About Internet Security Noted Since September Attacks

In a survey by the Information Technology Association of America and Tumbleweed Communications Corp., American Internet users have expressed greater concerns about their personal information stored on corporate Internet web servers.
33% of respondents said that they were "very worried" about their information; 41% described themselves as "somewhat worried".
Analysis:
If your website collects information about individual customers, like email addresses, credit card information, personal preference information and so forth, make an extra effort to make sure that you always put links to your privacy policy close to the point at which the information is collected. Also, make sure that your privacy policy makes a statement about how information is secured on your site.
