Is It Too Early To Think About The Invisible Internet?

Story:

In this interview with George Colony, CEO of Forrester, he discusses the Invisible Internet - the idea that the Internet will be everywhere in small devices in your home or office. This means that you will need to be involved not just in the pages that someone sees on their PC, but elsewhere in their lives.

Here's an example:

"Let's say you're Proctor and Gamble. You mail a little box to consumers that they can attach to their wastebaskets. Every time consumers throw away Proctor and Gamble products, that little box scans the used-up products as they go into the wastebasket. The box has a radio in it that goes back to the Internet, to Proctor and Gamble, to Federal Express. Tomorrow, via Federal Express, you get toothpaste."

Analysis:

None.
